Welcome to episode 61 of the Lesbian Book Club with Clare Lydon as she interviews US author KD Williamson. KD is famed for her cops n docs series starting with “Blurred Lines”, and her latest book “Big Girl Pill” has been lighting up the lesfic charts of late. Her books are cops and docs, wrapped in romance, wrapped in humour. Plus, they’re snarky and the characters are real. We chat writing secondary characters, diversity in lesbian fiction and KD’s very funny writing style. She says: “I don’t write books just about two main characters falling in love. I don’t write sanitized fiction. If you want books that are light, cute and nobody swears, that’s great. But I’m not that writer.”
