Michelle and Denise disuss how representation matters and Michelle talks about her new short film "I Just Wish You Told Me" which is loosely based on a personal experience, after she lost her partner and some truths were discovered. Judy brings some amazing rums while Denise tries her hand at mixing Jaegermeister and Coke. JD and Judy talk about how they met and decided to sing together, Denise discusses her bad haircut trauma, and JD and Judy sing some quick covers including an Eagles and a Grateful Dead tune. Christin recently launched her own film production company "Baker Films" after her successful LGBT streaming service, Tellofilms.com - where she produced and directed lesbian content for paid subscribers. Tyler, our Memphis mixologist from the ultra trendy bar "The Gray Canary" (as well as "Eight and Sand") visits with us again! JD is a little late getting in but Denise and Tyler have a quick catch up and some whiskey chat while Tyler explains his inspiration for this "Front Porch Pounder"- a drink you can love while sitting on your front porch on a warm weekend. It's really a modern, grown up riff on the classic college jungle juice. He's almost ready to share some eclectic, electric neon-colored summer drinks but NOT yet, it's still Spring so we're cruising slowly and savoring this pretty drink made with whiskey, cappaletti, lemon juice, cynar, vanilla extract, dash of sugar syrup! JD and Denise have some cocktails (Coffee with Coffee Infused Vodka, and a classic Whiskey Sour) tonight while Denise introduces her friend of over 30 years, Debbie Savigliano, the founder of Bianca's Kids, a 501c3 Non-Profit Charity Organization out of New Jersey that grants wishes to families and children in need. Debbie shares the story behind starting the organization after losing her 21 year old niece, Bianca, who was struck and killed by a car as she walked to work at a daycare center early one August morning. Debbie shifted her grief into creating Bianca's Kids to honor her niece and the results have been incredible as the group has now granted over 30,000 wishes for kids all over the country and continues to do good with donations in all forms from time and goods to checks.
