KD is famed for her cops n docs series starting with “Blurred Lines”, and her latest book “Big Girl Pill” has been lighting up the lesfic charts of late. Her books are cops and docs, wrapped in romance, wrapped in humour. Plus, they’re snarky and the characters are real. We chat writing secondary characters, diversity in lesbian fiction and KD’s very funny writing style. She says: “I don’t write books just about two main characters falling in love. I don’t write sanitized fiction. If you want books that are light, cute and nobody swears, that’s great. But I’m not that writer.”

Anna writes a crossover of fantasy and sci-fi, and more recently has turned her hand to romance. Her award-winning debut, “Compass Rose”, had lesbian pirates, and her latest, “Nottingham”, is a queer retelling of Robin Hood. Is there a strong theme throughout her books? Anna says: “I like to write strong female characters. Ones that you want to have sex with, but ones who might also kill you.”

Jenn is famed for her crochet skills, as well being the author of two books to date: “Hooked On You” and “The Words Shimmer.” Jenn talks about writing fanfic, especially Berena from Holby City, and how her novels explore life’s ‘invisible people’, who she hopes to shine a light on with her fiction. Her first two books included crochet and dyslexia. Her upcoming novels focus on mental health, pregnancy and addiction. Jenn lives in England’s South West with her wife, dog and cat.
