The Rainbow Remix -Ep. 128 - The Importance of LGBTQ Allies

Denise and JD welcome Denise's younger cousin Kris Vanone to the show to discuss how important LGBTQ allies are to our community. Denise learned that Kris took her whole family to Buffalo Pride and they wore their "Free Mom and Dad Hugs" shirts while their son twirled his rainbow flag with the parade participants. Kris talked how emotional she got during the hugs and how it's vital to teach her son acceptance, and encourage him to embrace others. JD and Denise welcome Martha Moxon, a young singing-songwriting sensation from Birmingham, England. She's the daughter of Lucy and Mandy Burton of the British band "Eeek", and Denise met Martha when she was only seven years old. She's now pushing the ripe old age of 17 and in University, but oh what success she's had already! She was on "The Voice UK Kids" just a few short years ago and got all the way to the finals and now she's writing and creating music of her own in her unique style.
