We discuss this year's OutShineFilm Festival - going on NOW-and what it means to the community, running for 24 years in Miami and 13 years in Fort Lauderdale. Mark talks about how the festivals have evolved, what you can expect this year and how they've adapted during these Covid times. Denise and Mark reminisce a bit about how Mark gave Denise her start as a presenter over 20 years ago on an FM dance music station Party 93.1 when it was unheard of for a gay radio talk show to be on your radio. A long time friend of JD joins the ladies and we had a great time talking to Patti Davila, a cruise ship singer who's career was docked by COVID, so she re-invented herself during lockdown and became a real estate agent, staying afloat during lockdown. Now that venues are re-opening, she's back to singing and still selling real estate! Such an inspiration- wait until you hear about how she weaves philanthropy through her music, doing all kinds of fundraisers also, her journey with her husband, Jozay is really special. JD welcomes her cousin AJ, a Tik Tok star from Georgia, to the show. AJ started trying British snacks and recording his reviews on Tik Tok, and became an instant sensation with views in excess of 500k in total. Denise brings a load of snacks to the table to compare notes and the two try Frazzles, and give them a thumbs down. He creates a drink with two of Denise's favorites, Jameson whiskey and Rumplemintz along with Godiva chocolate & a special mixture of vodka chocolate milk expressly made by Mom, Judy, thus creating a spin on the old lady Grasshopper (thanks, dude!) and introducing The Lotus.
