JD and Denise have a fantastic chat with Miami's Marky G, long time disc jockey, host, presenter and the main juggler of all things for the annual LGBTQ+ Film Festivals. We discuss this year's OutShineFilm Festival - going on NOW-and what it means to the community, running for 24 years in Miami and 13 years in Fort Lauderdale. Mark talks about how the festivals have evolved, what you can expect this year and how they've adapted during these Covid times. Denise and Mark reminisce a bit about how Mark gave Denise her start as a presenter over 20 years ago on an FM dance music station Party 93.1 when it was unheard of for a gay radio talk show to be on your radio. JD and Denise welcome British comedian and author Rosie Wilby joins us to discuss the recent success of her book "The Break Up Monologues", which spawned from a dumping that happened to her a while ago, launching her into collecting stories, facts and statistics regarding break ups- of course, with her own funny insightful spin. She's also got a podcast of the same name. Rosie's book is now available in Australia and The United States, so we discuss traveling during COVID times and all the adjustments that now come with promoting the book. The Whiskey Rock Lounge- Ep. 45 - Tyler's "One From The Road"

JD and Denise welcome Tyler, our Memphis mixologist, back from his big Middle American Road Trip- from Route 66 to the outskirts of Colorado, Tyler ate and drank his way thru the mid-west. He got major inspiration for his newest creation, aptly called "One From The Road", made with bourbon, brown sugar, spicy New Mexican pepper, and of course some Amaro bitters and a gorgeous garnish. Tyler explains the explosion of flavours and different types of bitters, as well as the Mezcal trend and why we better buy it up soon. Amber tells us what inspired her take a risk and quit her job as a retail jewellery store manager and open up her own doggy boutique once she and her wife Gina (Denise's cousin) got their dog, Zita, an adorable labradoodle who makes a guest appearance. Christin recently launched her own film production company "Baker Films" after her successful LGBT streaming service, Tellofilms.com - where she produced and directed lesbian content for paid subscribers.
