JD and Denise have a chat with Manchester based author Mike Lawson about his new book "Biscuits With Blanche", a funny, snarky, satirical book chock full of heartfelt moments. Mike explains the origin of Blanche and how the book idea was spawned from a fun Facebook page where a bit of roasting the political bone heads running the country, began growing over the lock down period and so with all that time during the pandemic, why not write a book? JD and Denise welcome back Dr. Lynda Spann of The Lesbian Couples Institute in Colorado. The ladies discuss the sweltering heat in both the U.S. and the U.K.  Denise explains to Dr. Spann how irritable the heat is making her and worries about it effecting her relationship. Dr. Spann gives her some sage advise, as well as discussing how to get back to the fun, sexy stuff when relationships start to veer into the friend zone. Denise and JD welcome Shaz Riley, owner and operator of The Butch Clothing Company since 2009. Shaz tells us how the company came about, what they strive for and the reason for it. Let's face it, as lesbians, having to buy a man's suit with all it's ill-fitting issues has always been a problem. Shaz explains how and why a good, perfectly fitted, personally chosen suit can last a lifetime, and be mixed and match to "suit" your needs for any occasion. With JD stuck at work, Denise welcomes her old friend Robert Boo from The Pride Center at Equality Park, in Wilton Manors, South Florida. Robert explains all that went on during the pandemic and how they turned those challenging times into a sort of rebirth, moving to online services, a renovation of the center and a brand new 15 million dollar LGBT senior living complex complete with 3000 sq ft mural. As Pride Month rolls on, JD and Denise have their mixologist, Tyler, back and he's brought on a moonshine from North Carolina, called Saint Luna, from the Saint Luna Spirits and Distilling company, a gay-owned and operated business.
