Whiskey Rock Lounge

We’re powered by MyLesbianRadio.com -featuring The Whiskey Rock Lounge, an all new Podcast and Zoom show with hosts Denise Warner and singer JD Danner. Plenty of good chat with entertaining guests and topics. You can find The Lesbian Book Club here too! Our shows are largely LGBTQ but we’re inclusive to all.

JD and Denise have a conversation with Dan Renzi, who you might remember from MTV's "Real World Miami" and "Road Rules vs Real World Challenges". All these years later and Dan is a nurse now, traveling all over the country fighting COVID as a frontline healthcare warrior. They chat about the renewed interest, reboot talk and nostalgia from back then as well as vaccine hesitation, misinformation and oh yeh- Dan and Denise's obsession with The Eurovision Song Contest. This one kicks off with a bad wi-fi day for JD, as she searches for a signal, and finds it in her Jeep outside of her condo building. Denise shares one of her dearest friends with JD, as they welcome Katie Hall to the show. Katie also has a short story and poem due out in 2021. Denise tells JD about some of their history. As Autumn hits its peak, Denise talks about the weather in London and JD celebrates the Florida temps dipping below 80 degrees. Denise's drink choice is a fiery ginger liquer with a rich history called "The King's Ginger". JD enjoys a Maple Knob Creek whiskey, pretending it's colder outside than it really is. The ladies discuss reinventing yourself, and tell the stories behind each of theirs. The Time Machine topic this week is 80's movie soundtracks, which sends them down a great path of oldie hits that never die.
