Katie also has a short story and poem due out in 2021. Denise tells JD about some of their history. As Autumn hits its peak, Denise talks about the weather in London and JD celebrates the Florida temps dipping below 80 degrees. The ladies discuss reinventing yourself, and tell the stories behind each of theirs. KD is famed for her cops n docs series starting with “Blurred Lines”, and her latest book “Big Girl Pill” has been lighting up the lesfic charts of late. Her books are cops and docs, wrapped in romance, wrapped in humour. Plus, they’re snarky and the characters are real. We chat writing secondary characters, diversity in lesbian fiction and KD’s very funny writing style. She says: “I don’t write books just about two main characters falling in love. I don’t write sanitized fiction. If you want books that are light, cute and nobody swears, that’s great. But I’m not that writer.”
